In a recent conversation with a group of friends, one made a comment about "all the guys that want you." (aka showing interest in getting to know me.) I of course smirked back with a reply about the fact that the ones that do, well they do not count. They were not options in my eyes, great guys I'm sure... just not for me. This got me thinking about what makes a guy an option, how we say we want to be adored, sought after, treated like a princess... and yet when we are it doesn't seem to count.
